(0xc0000142) Error

Hi,

So I've been having this problem since yesterday and I tried quite a few things from internet and no success. The problem is that once I double click for example Call of Duty 2 or Call of Duty 4 I get this error message right away and I cannot start any game atm. Could someone please help me out as I am losing my nerves over here? Can't remember changing or removing any files recently, but I did one CCleaner check and removal.

- Windows 7 Ultimate 32bts
- All nVidia drivers are updated to latest
- All windows updates are updated
- installed DirectX11 also DirectX End-User Runtimes

Check your sound settings so everything looks good. Also make sure your mic is plugged in.

Try closing Razer Synapse, Geforce Experience and any other unnecessary software running in the background like CCleaner etc.

I did one CCleaner check and removal.

did you backup your registry before the cleaning?
or maybe you can find system restoration point?

Thanks to miss the current problem/error message is gone and game starts as it should, but now when ingame it feels like 50fps while its set to 250fps. It simply laggs a bit for some reason. -.-

@exzz` your refresh rate in options has probabaly reset due to the crashes just maximize it and check for any other changes in the graphics options.

EDIT:

I am now able to join both CoD2 and CoD4, but this time I'm experiencing lag problems which happen all the time. Game shows me 80fps and I didn't change graphics settings and I also disabled all extra programs...

I would really appreciate any help here!
