Is your mouse plugged in an USB3 port btw? I read that 1000hz could kill ur USB2 port

I have to agree with him , u really won't see any big difference.
500Hz = polling every 0.002 second / 1000Hz = polling every 0.001 second. It is a really small amount tbh.
