How to IMs non friends?

Hey, i get messaged often trough IMs by people that arent my buddies. How is that possible?

If people want to play your team, they message you so you/they can challenge you and you can give each other the IP etc.

Yes. I know. But i want to message people i want to play with. But how can I do this? How can i write IMs messages to people how arent in my buddie list?

Unless they are an enemy and you click their name through the "LF Scrim/Match" option you can only do the regular "Message" option at the top of their profile. There isn't any way I know of that you can do what you are trying to do. Sorry if I didn't help, good luck.
