Hello cod2 community!

I was wondering if people would be interested in creating a Discord community for cod2. I'm just thinking that it would be very beneficial to have a centralized place (in support of cg website ofc) where people could for example search matches, chill, chat, or arrange mixes and use Discord's voice chat rooms.

For those who may not know what Discord is, it's basically Teamspeak and IRC combined to modern cross-platform application with very nice mobile apps too. On your community server you can set up multiple chat rooms (for example one for searching matches, one for discussion etc..) and multiple voice chat rooms. In addition to chat rooms there is also 1on1 chat and a friends list. It's completely free, and the servers can hold thousands of people per community. More info on Discord's website

So in case this could happen, i quickly set up this server that you can join and check it out. https://discord.gg/NCFrFCP

IRC and different forums have served us well over the years, but there is more modern solutions too. What do you guys think?

P.S. Also if i'm completely out of loop and there is actually a Discord community or something similar for cod2 already, please let me know

You just need to get used to it Henkie, however, the voice is something i don't really feel comfortable with yet, so sticking to ts3 so far.

Henkie is just trolling as always. We use it daily - for voice chat too. I don't see why the voice would be any less comfortable than TS. To me discord feels even better. I even played once with discord voice through my phone because I didn't have mic for PC. xd

I don't use discord that often, but the voice is def something that sounds better on discord imo
