Hi all,

need some help with this common error (already searched like the whole internet)
Since this week I get this message like after half a match. (pcw and cg, so I think it hasn't anything to do with cgac)

Like 2/3 weeks ago I overclocked my system (but I resetted it)
fyi:
Processor: AMD ATHLON 64 x2 DualCore 6000+ 3,1 GHZ
RAM: 4GB
Videocard: Nvidia Gefore GT 430
Windows 7 professional 64 BIT (currently updating to 10)

-- so nothing special at all.

Ive played for many years, on this current system for like 3 years, without a single problem.

What I've tried to do:
Reinstall COD2 (deleted the wole folder)
in sound settings enabled the STERIO MIX option
updated drivers
Reinstalled again and didnt copy my OLD cfg (cant see why my CFG should be a problem because it worked 3 years - if someone got a normal (little fps raising) CFG, I'd love to get it)
Rebooting pc without headset+mic plugged in...

What are my options, what have I done wrong or what have I missed?

Sorry for bad english,
Thanks for your guys help in advance

Like to hear some helps.

Fyper

if you have realtek sound card, go to settings and put stereo mix--> ENABLED, and if u have usb headset, try to put jack cable in on the back side of your PC...should've do the trick!

Steromix is enabled, and have the regular jack headset (logitech G330). :(
But like I mentioned, never had a single problem. Just, poof and it doenst work anymore. Never changed a thing (overclocking restored to default settings).

Runned DriverAssist and now it told me my PCI-e drivers (??) where very outdated.
Also reinstalled soundcard/realtek driver again.

-also the NVIDIA EXPERIENCE software is installed

Normally I can fix like every error, but this time God hates me.

Reinstall of windows recommended?
Or can it be a virus?

sorry for later respons. Still not working. unfortunately i lost my good CFG now, lost the back-up. ha-ha

I think this whole problem will end in a reinstall of Windows7. nonetheless strange that I couldn't fix it after updating/changing everything back to normal while I never had a problem.
