General info
Welcome everyone to Season 3 of Dota 2 with LPL!
We had an extremely successful Dota 2 season in Season 2 and we are thrilled to bring you another season of Dota 2! Many congratulations to the winners of 2019 Season 2 Dota 2 teams. We hope to see all teams return for another season. As stated in our Season 2 announcement, our intent is to introduce a pathway for the Dota 2 community, so the teams and players can be broken up into different skill groups, to provide fair games against equal opponents, while providing a way to climb those divisions until you reach the top.
Signs up will be available for those residing in Australia and New Zealand.
Registrations will open on the 1st August 2019.
Season 3 of Dota 2 will commence on August 13th 2019 & will conclude October 9th 2019.

Format
Due to feedback received from Season 2, all games during the regular play will be a Best of 2! Playoffs will be a Best of 3, with the Grand Finals being Best of 5. The default tiebreaker is Head to Head. If the tie is not broken using Head to Head, a Best of One single round robin will be played with the tied teams. If this still does not break the tie, admins may declare to use time rating for the tiebreaker rounds played. For avoidance of doubt, time rating rules will be explained in the rules here.
Amateur will be an elo based ladder, with 3 matches assigned per 12 days. Teams are required to update their available match times weekly and the website will auto-assign teams to play against each other. The top 4 teams with the highest elo by the end of the regular play will move to Playoffs.
The Challenger Division will be a round robin format and will have matches scheduled throughout each week for seven weeks. The top 4 teams with the highest amount of wins by the end of regular play will move to Playoffs.
The PRO Division will be a round robin format and have matches scheduled each Tuesday and Wednesday nights at 7PM AEST. The top 4 teams with the highest amount of wins by the end of regular play will move to Playoffs. Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances, the PRO Division will not have a LAN and will be only be played online.
PRO Division teams may only reschedule matches with a legitimate reason provided to an administrator, and may only be done once within the regular season, any further reschedule requests will become forfeits (except in special cases). To reschedule, an administrator must give you permission, and each request will be decided on a case by case basis.
