Welcome to VALORANT Challengers Oceania 2023 Stage 1!

We’re excited to be kicking off an epic year of VALORANT in Oceania with VALORANT Challengers Oceania 2023 - the official pathway for Oceania to the VALORANT Pacific League!

Tournament Information:
VALORANT Challengers Oceania 2023 Stage 1 will feature a $50,000 AUD prize pool for the top 8 teams. Teams qualify for Stage 1 by beginning their journey in Stage 1 Open Qualifiers, held in December 2022. The top 6 teams will retain their spots for VALORANT Challengers Oceania 2023 Stage 2, with the bottom 2 teams entering a promotion/relegation series against the top 2 teams from Stage 2 Open Qualifiers. The winning team of Stage 2 will represent Oceania at VALORANT Ascensions, with the winning team of Ascensions claiming a slot in the VALORANT Pacific League.

As always, we highly encourage all players to read through the ruleset to check their eligibility and ensure they will be able to commit to the scheduling requirements for the tournament.

Eligible countries in Oceania includes: Australia, Papua New Guinea, New Zealand, Fiji, the Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, New Caledonia (France), Samoa, Kiribati, the Federated States of Micronesia, Tonga, the Marshall Islands, Cook Islands (NZ), Wallis and Futuna (France), Tuvalu, Nauru, Niue (NZ), Tokelau (NZ), the Pitcairn Islands (UK), Heard Island, and the McDonald Islands.

Qualified Teams:
All qualified players must complete the 2023 Player Release Form 24 hours before the first Group Stage play day - this is a requirement to play and if you have not filled it in you will not be able to compete. Additionally, all qualified players will be contacted by LPL administrations to enter a private Discord server for broadcasts, provide headshot assets and complete a quick questionnaire to gather basic information.

Broadcast Information:
LPL will be delivering world-quality broadcasts throughout VALORANT Challengers Oceania 2023 on the official LPL Valorant Twitch channel.

Open Qualifiers & Registration:
Registration for Open Qualifiers is now open!

-All players must be 16 years of age from their first playdate.
-128 teams maximum.
-Registration closes on Tuesday 13 December 2022 12PM NZT.
-Seeding & bracket to be released on Wednesday 14 December 2022.

Format:
VALORANT Challengers Oceania 2023 Stage 1 will have three phases.

Phase 1 - Open Qualifiers:
Open Qualifiers will be a Best of 3, Single Elimination Format (played until completion). The top 8 teams will qualify for VALORANT Challengers Oceania 2023 Stage 1.

Phase 2 - Group Stage:
Group Stage will see the top 8 teams play a Best of 3, Single Round Robin (each team playing each other once within the group). The top 6 teams will be seeded into the Regional Playoffs pending on their placements within Phase 2.

Phase 3 - Regional Playoff:
Regional Playoffs will see the top 6 teams seeded into a Best of 3, Double Elimination Bracket, with Seed 1 & Seed 2 starting from Round 2 Upper Bracket, with a Best of 5 Grand Finals.

Open Qualifiers - All matches are Best of 3, including Grand Finals.
